Abstract

This study aims to compile a systematic literature review on the development and impact of cloud-based information systems in various industrial sectors. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach that follows the PRISMA flow, a total of 690 articles were identified from four main databases, and through a rigorous selection process, 10 articles that met the inclusion criteria were obtained. The results show that cloud computing makes a significant contribution to improving operational efficiency, remote team collaboration, and real-time data management. On the other hand, this technology also poses serious challenges related to information security and the need for investment in infrastructure and user training. The research findings cover four main themes: efficiency and resource management, improved remote team collaboration, security challenges, and impact on managerial information systems. Several studies have also highlighted the use of the cloud in the education and healthcare sectors, with promising results in improved accessibility and interaction. Nonetheless, the implementation of this technology must be accompanied by a comprehensive security strategy so that its benefits can be optimized in a sustainable manner. This research contributes to understanding the trends and directions of development of cloud-based information systems and provides a basis for future information technology research and policy.
